La candidature du pr\u00e9sident camerounais Paul Biya \u00e0 l’\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle pr\u00e9vue le 12 octobre a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement d\u00e9pos\u00e9e ce jeudi au si\u00e8ge d’Elections Cameroon (Elecam) \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9, a annonc\u00e9 l’organe en charge de l’organisation des scrutins.
Le dossier a \u00e9t\u00e9 remis par Jean Nku\u00e9t\u00e9, secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Comit\u00e9 central du Rassemblement D\u00e9mocratique du peuple camerounais (RDPC), parti au pouvoir, accompagn\u00e9 de Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, ministre directeur du Cabinet civil de la pr\u00e9sidence.
Ag\u00e9 de 92 ans, Paul Biya a annonc\u00e9 sa candidature dimanche soir. A la t\u00eate du Cameroun depuis 1982, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9\u00e9lu successivement en 1984, 1988, 1992, 1997, 2004, 2011 and 2018. A ce jour, dix candidatures ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es par Elecam.
